Mary Maglena Widener, 96, went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 22, 2026.

She was born on Feb. 19, 1930, in Washington County and was the daughter of Bill & Virginia May Thomas.

She lived in Washington County her entire life. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, spending time with her family and cooking for everyone. Everyone always had a seat at her table. She was granny to everyone that knew her, and everyone she met. She was a God-fearing lady and loved God above all.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Willard Widener; 3 sisters and 4 brothers; and 4 daughters, Louise, Lib, Geneva, and tiny. Daughter-in-law Renee Widener and sons-in-law James Owens and George Thomas. One granddaughter, Mandy Parks, and one great-great-granddaughter, Zadie.

Survived by her loving family including her son June and wife Kertrina, Tim Widener, Elsie and husband Roger. Several grandkids, great-grandkids, and great-great-grandkids. She thought of all of them as her grandkids. Catherine Widener, who she considered her daughter. Several nieces, nephews, and a special granddaughter, Danieal.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 25th, 2026, from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00P.M. at Frost Funeral Home. Graveside service to be held on Wednesday, August 26th, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Kenneth Poston officiating.

Pallbearers will be June Widener, Tim Widener, Morgan Parks, Charlie Widener, Josh Widener, Mack Thomas.

Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons & great-grandsons.
