Mary Elizabeth Tolliver Murray, 88, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2023, at Valley Health and Rehab in Chilhowie, Virginia.

She was born October 3, 1935, to the late Lucy Tolliver, and she remained a life-long resident of Abingdon.

In addition to her mother, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Donald C. Murray; four sisters and one brother.

Mary is survived by her brother-in-law, Walter Murray and wife Shirley; one sister-in-law, Nellie Scyphers; several nieces and nephews also survive.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, February 03, 2023 at Mountain View United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jerry A. Eggers officiating. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 12:45 P.M.
