Mary Jane Padua, 79, of Glade Spring, Virginia, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2025.

Born on May 11, 1946, to the late E.P. and Kathleen Widener, Mary lived a life marked by kindness, generosity, and deep love for her family. She had a big heart and never hesitated to lend a helping hand to those in need. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her loved ones, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought endless light into her life.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, E.P. and Kathleen Widener, and her brother, Ernest Widener.

She is survived by her devoted husband, David Padua; her children, Chris Noonkester, Mary "Jobie" O'Quinn, and Katie Noonkester Milligan (Darrell); her cherished grandchildren, Robert, John, Sam, Molly, Eric, Matt, Ethan, Alec, Reagen, and Kinzel; and her great-grandchildren, Haylee, Parker, Ali, Gracie, and Charles. She also leaves behind her beloved sisters, Anne Bowman and Sally Bowman.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at KnollKreg Memorial Park in Abingdon, Virginia with Ben Repass officiating.

Mary will be remembered for her warmth, strength, and the deep love she shared with all who knew her.
