Mary Carolyn McVey, 96, passed away Thursday, July 03, 2025, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. McVey was born September 15, 1928, to the late Garland and Vesta Bott in Greendale, Virginia. She loved to spend time tending to her flowers, and canning. Above all she was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a member of Mt. Carmel Christian Church.

Including her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Louis McVey; one sister, Irene Brannon; two brothers, James and David Bott.

Survivors include, her two sons, Gary McVey (Sue) and Allen McVey; three daughters, Bonnie Joyce Goff, Debra King (Jeff) and Gail Bricker (Mike); three grandchildren, Joy McVey, Jeffery McVey and Brian McVey; four great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; also, several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, July 08, 2025, at Forest Hills Memory Gardens with Minister Ronnie Musick officiating. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 1:45 P.M.
