Blanche Odum McElyea, our much loved, beautiful, determined, smart, blue-eyed momma, passed away Friday, July 24th with her three daughters by her side. Each of us shall miss her every day until we meet her again in the arms of our Lord and Savior.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Theodore McElyea, her parents, James Odum and Vergie Odum Shortt; All of her Odum siblings and great grandson Porter Theodore Harper.

She is survived by her daughters Kathy Ohlrich, Judy Gracik and Cynthia Wilson; granddaughters, Pauly Johnson and husband Chris and Angela Kilgore and husband Chad; three great grandchildren, Autumn Kilgore, Emily and Jack Johnson and several nieces and nephews. A special heart felt thank you to Dr Bruce Higinbothom and Teresa Boyd for the care and kindness they both brought our mother.

Blanche had a deep knowledge and appreciation for plants and loved working in them daily, we will take her knowledge with us and will be reminded of her every time we see a rose.

Rest in peace momma, your love will remain with us always. 

Due to Mrs. McElyea wishes, all services will be held privately.
