Mary Elizabeth Lane, 58, passed away May 25, 2024 at Johnson City Medical Center, Johnson City, TN.

She was born April 13, 1966 in Richlands, VA. She was an avid shopper and bingo player. Mary loved to go out driving her Jeep in beautiful weather and playing with her two fur babies Taz and Baxter.

She is preceded in death by her father, David Barnes; and grandparents/adopted parents, Maudie Hess and Carl Hess.

Survivors include her loving husband, Ray Lane; one son, Jonathan Henegar and wife Amanda; mother, Hazel Deskins; two sisters, Mae Sutherland and Sissy Deskins; aunts that she loved as sisters; Alice Absher, Ruthie Lowe, Betty Lowe, Opal Hess, and Lena Whitt; also, several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 30, 2024 at Frost Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Jason Dunn officiating. Committal service will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, Damascus, VA.

Serving as pallbearers will be Anthony Fleenor, Brian Emmert, Eric Cooper, Marty Lewis, Mark Mullins, and Logan Lewis.

Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Green Spring Fire Department.
