Abingdon, VA

Margaret Geneva Odum, 91, went to be with the Lord on December 22, 2024, at Abingdon Health and Rehab.

She was born February 11, 1933, to the late Calvin and Rachel Tolbert Smith in Saltville, VA.

Ms. Odum retired with 31 years of service with the Washington County Health Department. She attended Morning Star Church, Lebanon,VA.

Including her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James Junior Odum; and daughter, Carol Odum.

Survivors include son, Rev. Jim Odum and wife D.D.; brother, Stan Smith and wife Nancy of Saltville, VA; sisters, Imogene Arnold of Kingsport, TN and Linda Cruey and husband Johnny of Columbus, OH.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M until 12:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 26, 2024, at Frost Funeral Home with a service to follow at 12:00 P.M. with Brother Robert Crusenberry officiating. Committal service will follow to Forest Hills Memory Gardens.

Serving as pallbearers will be, Jeff Kestner, Darrel Kestner, Billy Scyphers, David Eastridge, Kenneth Nunley, and Kent Nunley.
