Margaret Ann McCracken Hicks, 80, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, June 7, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born January 25, 1945, to the late Harrison and Helen Dunn McCracken.   Margaret loved to work puzzles and adored her family.   Above all, Margaret was a devout Christian and attended Joy Baptist Church for many years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters and one great-granddaughter, Ellie Hicks.

Margaret is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, John Henry Hicks; sons, John (Mary) Hicks and David (Tracy) Hicks; two sisters, Jane Jessee and Dell Holt; five grandchildren, John Hicks, Jr. (Kayla), Anthony Hicks, Cody (Rebecca) Hicks, Joanna McGhee (Derick), and Cammie Hicks; seven great-grandchildren, Kolby Hicks, Ryder Hicks, Kam Hicks, Ollie Hicks, Edward Hicks, Aspen Stike, and Tristen Robbins.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at Knollkreg Memorial Park with Pastor Jay Overbay officiating.   Those wishing to attend the service are asked to arrive at the cemetery by 10:45 A.M.

John Hicks, Jr., Cody Hicks, Anthony Hicks, Kolby Hicks, Anthony Meeks, and Derick McGhee will serve as pallbearers.  Ryder Hicks, Kam Hicks, Ollie Hicks, and Edward Hicks will serve as honorary pallbearers.
