Mae Roop Harrington, 88, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2025, at Valley Health and Rehab in Chilhowie, Virgina.

She was born May 5, 1936, in Konnarock, Virginia to the late Fred and Fairy Roop.  Mae was a resident of Damascus, Virginia.  She took pride in being the mother of five wonderful children, whom she adored.  Above all, Mae was devout in her Christian faith and a lifetime member of Konnarock Seventh Day Adventist Church.  Her legacy of kindness and love will live on through her children.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husbands, Frank Raume and Lloyd Harrington, Sr.; her son, King David Huggins; son-in-law, Roger Fuller; great-granddaughter, Kennedy Castle; five brothers, Paul Roop, Bob Roop, Harley Roop, Howard Roop, and Fred Roop.

She is survived by her daughter, Janice Fuller; three sons, Donley (Joan) Huggins, James "Jimmy" (Emele) Huggins, and Quinten Fred (Toni) Huggins; daughter-in-law, Brenda Huggins; three sisters, Gay Parker, Mildren Anderson, and Edna Briggs; 17 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.  Mae is also survived by many cherished nieces, nephews, and step grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Monday, March 10, 2025, from 6:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Frost Funeral Home.   A funeral service will follow at 7:00 P.M. in the Frost Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Duane O'Ffill and Dr. John Roberts officiating.
