Louanna Phillips Turner, 73, passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at Bristol Regional Medical Center.

She was born March 10, 1950, in Harlan, Kentucky to the late Ovie and Mae Phillips. Louanna lived in Abingdon, Virginia for the last 34 years and was of the Holiness faith.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by three brothers, Matt Phillips, Hubert Phillips, and Estil Phillips; two sisters, Jean Koonce and Betty Moore.

Louanna is survived by two daughters, Rose Phillips Sheffield (Mike) and Anna Russ (Scott); three sons, Russell Turner (Christie), Kermit Turner (Jennifer), and James Moore; two brothers, Dennis Phillips (Barbara) and Kermit Phillips (Linde); nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; special Bible study friend, Ella Whittaker.

The family will receive friends Friday, September 22, 2023, from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at Frost Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held following the visitation at 2:00 P.M. in the Frost Funeral Home Chapel with Sister Amber Riveria and Brother Billy Owens officiating. Entombment will follow at Knollkreg Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Russell Turner, Kermit Turner, Blake Turner, Austin Turner, Scott Russ, and Jose Riveria will serve as pallbearers.
