Linda Kay Boardwine, 77, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 4, 2026.

Born on May 12, 1949, she was the daughter of the late James and Margaret Dunn. Linda was a faithful member of Woodland Hills Christian Church. She treasured time spent with her family and especially enjoyed traveling and making memories with them.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Boardwine; her son, David Boardwine; her daughter, Tammy Boardwine; her mother-in-law, Loretta Gilliam; her brother, Billy Dunn; and her sister, Cindy Mattox.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Travis Boardwine; her granddaughter, Annalise Rosemary Phillips; nine sisters, Betty Heath (Tom), Judy Null, Susan Hogston, Minta Dishman (Jerry), Kathy Taylor (Greg), Vickie Wilson (Denny), Kathy Tate, Monica Perkins (Jackie), and Pam Morphew (Ernie); four brothers, Jimmy Dunn (Angela), Avery Blevins, Jr., Tony Blevins, and Jerry Blevins; three brothers-in-law, Eddy Gilliam, Billy Gilliam, and Jamie Gilliam; her sister-in-law, Janie Russell; her special nieces, Ashley Tate, Elli Tate, and Madison Groseclose; her beloved dog, Tucker; and her special friends, Brenda Repass, Loulla Osborne, and Eula Helton

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Mountain View Cemetery in Meadowview, Virginia, with Ben Repass officiating.

Linda will be remembered for her love of family, her kind heart, and the many cherished memories she created with those she loved. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
