Lewis Wayne Minton, was born on December 16, 1952 and went to be with our Lord and Savior on October 31, 2026.

Lewis was a hardworking, faithful, and loving man. He dedicated his life to his family, his work, and most importantly, his Lord and Savior. He began working in construction in 1975, spending time working in his father's cabinet shop before eventually establishing his own business. Lewis had a true passion for woodworking and took great pride in his craftsmanship and the work of his hands.

Above all, Lewis loved the Lord. He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior on October 1, 1990, a day that forever changed his life. He attended Macedonia Baptist Church and was actively involved in the prison ministry at Southwest Virginia Regional Jail, where he shared his faith and the love of Christ with others. Lewis enjoyed spending time with family and friends along with watching NASCAR. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, unwavering faith, and the love he had for those around him.

Lewis was preceded in death by his father, Karl Minton, and his mother, Minnie Minton.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife/help meet (Genisis 2:18 KJV) of 52 years, Trish Minton; two sons, Garrett Minton and Aaron Minton (Melissa); nine grandchildren, Dillon (Megan), Aubrey, Garron, Gevin, Madison, Emilee, Kielyn, Kherington, and Nilah; two great-grandchildren, Jackson and Ryleigh; one sister-in-law, Carla Isenburg; three brothers-in-law, Paul Denton (Kathy), Bill Denton (Shirley), and John Denton (Sara); as well as several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at Frost Funeral Home in Abingdon, Virginia.

A private graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2026 with Chaplin David Scott officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Yachal Bible Institute and Seminary, P.O. Box 9, Abingdon, VA 24212.
