Kathleen Marie Whitehead, 68, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 25, 2026. She was born on August 5, 1958, to the late Robert and Dorothy Alexander.

Kathleen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She cherished the time she spent with her family and found her greatest joy in being surrounded by those she loved. The memories she made with her loved ones will forever hold a special place in their hearts.

In addition to her parents, Kathleen was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth Roger Whitehead; and one brother, William Alexander.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Dewey Whitehead; one son, Daniel Travis Whitehead; one grandson, Kenny Rogert; six sisters, Helen Street, Clara White, Jose Mitchell, Lorene Mitchell, Linda Alexander, and Christine White; four brothers, Dale Alexander, Jimmy Alexander, Michael Alexander, and Earl Alexander; as well as several extended family members and friends.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. at Frost Funeral Home.

Graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. at Counts Cemetery in Brumley Gap, Virginia. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 1:45 P.M.

Serving as pallbearers will be the men of Brumley Gap Volunteer Fire Department.
