Lester
November 28, 1947 – April 4, 2026
June Rasnake Lester went to be with the Lord, surrounded by her loving family, on April 4, 2026, at Bristol Regional Medical Center.
She was born on November 28, 1947, to the late James Marion Rasnake and Carmie Rasnake. June was a woman who cherished her family above all else. She loved spending time outdoors, especially enjoying her horses, and was happiest when she was busy and helping others. Known for her huge heart and generous spirit, she devoted her life to caring for those around her. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. June was a faithful member of Greendale Chapel Church for over 30 years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Lester; and her siblings, Dewell Rasnake, David Rasnake, Ken Rasnake, Annette Branch, and Nadine Wagner.
Those left to cherish her memory include her three children: Mark Robinson (Carol), Beverly Hooker (Chuck), and Jason Lester (Angela); two brothers, Clyde Rasnake (Carolyn) and Phillip Rasnake (Patsy); one sister, Lynn Thompson (Gary); five grandchildren: Jake Robinson (Brittany), Kendra Hooker, Jessica Lambert (David), Abby Bear (Cole) and Bradley Lunsford; and four great-grandchildren: Jedidiah Robinson, Penelope Robinson, Solomon Robinson, and Asher Lambert. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M.. on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at Forest Hills Memory Gardens, with Rev. Jerry A. Eggers officiating. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:45 A.M. Following the graveside the family will receive family and friends at 12:30 P.M. at the Greendale Chapel Fellowship Hall.
