Julia Bateman Robinson,76, of Glade Spring, VA passed away on Dec. 1,2023 at Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, VA. Julia was born on Feb. 5,1947 to A.D. and Thelma Bateman. She was proceeded in death by the love of her life, Louis Alexander Robinson. She was also proceeded in death by her brothers, Rev. Emmitt Bateman, Ray Bateman and David Bateman and sisters, Vickie Bateman Ketron, Darlene Bateman Hayter and Josie Bateman.

She is survived by 2 children, Tammy Lester Parks with whom she lived and was her sole caretaker for the last few years of her life, and Jason Lester of Abingdon, VA. She is also survived by brothers Rev. Roy Bateman, Richard Bateman, Howard Bateman and Rev. Lee Bateman and sister Evelyn Bateman Campbell. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Julia was a registered nurse for many years and loved being able to help others. She loved her family, but especially her children. She was a firm believer in the Bible and was ready to go home to be with her loved ones. Although she will be missed by those that love her, they rejoice knowing she's no longer in pain.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to cover the expense of her funeral.

Graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, Dec 4, 2023 at Old Glade Presbyterian Cemetery in Glade Spring, VA.
