Mr. Joie R. Moore, of Damascus, Va., passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at his home.

He was born on March 24, 1953, in Mountain City, Tenn., to the late James Joseph Moore and Stella Lee McElyea Moore Snyder. In addition to his parents he was also predeceased by two brothers, James S. Moore and Bob "Smokey" Moore and two sisters, Jean Walker and Lois Winters.

Joie was a former drummer for Bobby B. and the Good Times in Delaware and for Southern 76 a country and western band in Bristol, Tenn. While living in Pennsylvania he served as a state constable for years and was also an EMT and ambulance driver. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include two children, Joseph Scott Moore and Briana Moore; and sisters, Anita C. Moore and Glenna J. Moore.

Donations are suggested to the American Cancer Society.

There will be no formal services held.
