John McGlamery age 73 of Damascus, Va passed away on June 8, 2024.

John was born in Damascus, Va on November 7, 1950, to the late James and Ada (Woods) McGlamery. He was a graduate of Holston High School, and East Tennessee State University. He retired from Empire Ford in Abingdon, Va. He was a lover of Nascar racing, photography, collecting stamps, matches, glasses, watches, and cameras. He enjoyed the creeper trail and enjoyed meeting and helping so many hikers along their journey through Damascus on the Appalachian Trail. He attended the Damascus Church of Christ for many years.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his nephew Sonny Reid.

John is survived by his daughter Caitlin (Patrick) Quiggin, grandchildren Alyssa and Jordan Quiggin, brother Tommy (Marie) McGlamery, sister Barbera Reid, nephews Chad (Andrea) McGlamery, Aaron (Kimberly) McGlamery, and Aunt Mildred Blackburn.
