Born March 30, 1962, John Michael Lamone, went home to The Lord in the early morning hours of June 20, 2025.

He is preceded in death by his mother, H "Scotty" Matherly and a sister, Deidre Matherly.

He is survived by his lifetime love, Angelina Ryan; his father J Moses Lamone and wife Donna Lamone; a sister Patricia Newton and husband Ronnie Newton; and three sons, J Michael Lamone II, Allen M Lamone(Kamryn Cox), and Matthew J Lamone, of whom gave him four precious grandchildren; Elijah (Cooper), Elaina, Easton, and Emmitt Lamone, and many other friends and family.

He made his peace with his Holy Father while battling sickness. He was very loved and cared about but most importantly he was saved. We will always remember.

A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Rich Valley United Methodist Church (22267 Rich Valley Rd, Abingdon, VA 24210).

All friends and family are warmly invited to attend.
