Jessie Junior Helton, age 79, went to be with the Lord and was sang into heaven by the Riverview Church on Sunday, June 2, 2024.

Jessie was born on January 30, 1945 to the late John and Ruby Helton in Russell County, Virginia. He loved fishing, hunting, woodworking, camping but most of all, he enjoyed being a father. He also enjoyed going to church and gospel music.

In addition to his parents, Jessie was preceded in death by his stepson Wade Hamm and numerous other family members.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 46 years, Karen Helton; son Jeffrey Helton and wife Leslie; daughter Ashley Pridemore and husband Bob; half-sister Eva Cody and her husband Harvey; one grandchild coming soon; one nephew who was like a son, John Cox and wife Jackie; many other nieces nephews; special friends, Steve and Debbie Kiser and Clayton and Mary McGlothlin; and other friends he loved dearly along with his many church family members.

A celebration of Jessie's life will be held at a later date.
