IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jeffrey Alan
Mccray
March 31, 1960 – June 17, 2025
Jeffrey Alan McCray, age 65, passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on June 17, 2025. Born on March 31, 1960, he was the beloved son of the late Robert and Margaret McCray.
Jeffrey had a deep appreciation for life's simple joys. He had a special passion for antique cars and loved spending time driving around in search of them or attending car shows. Above all, though, his greatest joy came from being with his family, whom he loved dearly. He retired from the ETSU Maintenance Department in 2017.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his great-nephew, Logan Quillen.
Jeffrey is survived by his sister, Susan Quillen; his brother, Bob McCray and wife Barbara; his niece, Lyndsay Quillen (Johnathan); his nephew, Brad Quillen (Shanna); and five great-nieces and nephews: Bradie Quillen, Blake Hammitt, Piper Quillen, Phoenix Quillen, and Jakobe Lytle.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, June 22, 2025, from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. at Frost Funeral Home in Abingdon, Virginia, followed by a funeral service at 3:00 P.M. with Pastor Bud Beverly officiating.
Following the service, a procession will lead to Bethel Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Abingdon, Virginia, where Jeffrey will be laid to rest.
Pallbearers will be Blake Hammitt, Brad Quillen, Johnathan Lytle, Dan Thornburg, Steven Gregory, and Terry Gregory.
Frost Funeral Home and Cremation Services is honored to serve the family of Mr. Jeffrey Alan McCray.
