Jeffrey Allen Cordle, 64, passed away on Monday, July 20, 2026.

Born on July 30, 1961, he was the son of the late Mackie Cordle and Cornelia Allen. Jeffrey spent most of his life in Tazewell County and had made his home in the Smith Creek area for the past eight years. He attended Bandy Chapel Church in Bandy, Virginia.

In addition to his parents, Jeffrey was preceded in death by his stepparents, one brother, and one sister. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 27 years, Betty Cordle; a special nephew, Walton "Boo" Honaker; a special niece, Michelle Peery and husband, Ronnie; special great-nephews, Izaiah, Samuel, and Josiah Honaker; and several other nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at Greendale Chapel Cemetery in Abingdon, Virginia, with Pastor Barry Jessee officiating.

Pallbearers will be Walton "Boo" Honaker, Izaiah Honaker, Ronnie Peery, Eddie Jessee, Nick Harrison, Gene Witty, and Carlisle "Ed" Hobbs. Honorary pallbearers will be James Campbell and Gerald "Bud" Flynn.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Bandy Chapel Church, 187 Arch Barrett Drive, Rosedale, Virginia 24280.

Jeffrey will be remembered for the love he shared with his family and friends and for the many lives he touched throughout his years in Tazewell County and the Smith Creek community. His memory will be treasured by all who knew and loved him.
