Jean Kaylor (Anna Imogene Sprinkle Kaylor) was born March 20, 1931, in Washington County VA to Bill and Lola Sprinkle. She met her Savior on Monday, July 22, 2024.
After spending most of her school days in the Green Springs area, she graduated from Wallace High School.
She married David Kaylor on June 16, 1950. During their 48 years of marriage, they enjoyed gardening, fishing, and traveling.
She loved her family fiercely and is survived by her two daughters, Theresa Bixby (Paul) and Pam Weaver (Mike); two sons, David Kaylor, Jr., better known as Butch and Bill Kaylor (Kathy), 11 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.
She is predeceased by her husband, parents, her daughter-in-law, Joyce Kaylor, and her beloved brother, John Sprinkle.
She was a charter member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Abingdon, VA. She loved to garden and can in the summer and quilt in the winter.
The family will receive friends on Monday, July 29, 2024, from 11:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 19383 Lee Highway, Abingdon, VA 24210. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 P.M. with Pastor Kevin Rogerson officiating. Interment will follow in procession to Forest Hills Memory Gardens.
Serving as pallbearers will be family and friends of Ms. Kaylor.
