In Loving Memory of Janye Lynn Manuel Watson.

April 13th, 1954-January 24th, 2025

Janye Lynn Manuel Watson, a vibrant soul with a compassionate heart, passed away peacefully at her home on the afternoon of January 24, 2025. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Lee Swindle, whose love and influence shaped much of her life. She is lovingly survived by her devoted husband of 49 years, Ralph Watson; her two cherished daughters, Alison Manuel and Meredith Manuel; three beloved granddaughters, Annabelle Manuel, Emily Laughlin, and Gabrielle Laughlin; and Riley Fritz and Axl Shelton, her two precious great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her neighbors, Matt and Britt along with their children, Bentley and Ryder, who were like a second family to her and brought immense joy to her days.

Janye was a free spirit who embraced life with intellectual curiosity, a love for music, and an insatiable passion for traveling and exploring the world. She found her greatest happiness in the company of her family and was a fierce advocate for animals, dedicating her time and energy to their welfare. Her unwavering kindness and vivacious personality left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Johnson County Humane Society, a cause close to Janye's heart and one that honors her legacy of compassion.

A private viewing was held for immediate family and a celebration of life will be held in warmer months to follow.

Janye's light will live on in the hearts of those who loved her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
