James Howard Widener, 80, passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at his home.

He was born June 23, 1944 to the late Elmer Widener and Susie Blevins Widener. Howard was the owner and operator of several gas stations and convenience stores throughout his life.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Lee Widener; one son, David Allen Widener; one granddaughter, Kimber Alexis Widener; and several brothers and sisters.

He is survived by two sons, Jimmy Widener (Shane) and Rick Widener (Angela); one brother, Harry Widener; one sister, Bell Arnold; four grandchildren, Jacob, Katie, Jarrod, and Kylie; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 18, 2024 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Frost Funeral Home with a service following at 7:00 P.M. with Pastor Roger Hearl officiating. A committal service will take place at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at Greenwood Cemetery. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:45 A.M.
