James "Buddy" Martin Holloway, Jr., age 79, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 14, 2025.

Born on June 18, 1946, he was the beloved son of the late James Martin Holloway, Sr and Edith Holloway.

James was a dedicated, hard-working man who spent much of his life employed at Steel Fab. Outside of work, he was a passionate fan of NASCAR and a devoted follower of Alabama football—pastimes that brought him great joy over the years.

James will be remembered for his love of racing, football, and family. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Geraldine Holloway; and his son, James Martin "Marty" Holloway III.

He is survived by his three step-children: Bobby Wayne Ball, Krista Umbarger, and Roger Lee Ball; seven grandchildren: Chasity, Brittney, Sabrina, Zak, Adryana, Jamie, and Austin; seven great-grandchildren: Dominick, Chase, Adam, Levi, McKenzie, Liam, and Knox; and two brothers: Bobby Holloway and Johnny Holloway.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at 11:30 A.M. at Solid Rock Baptist Church Cemetery, with Pastor Junior Gobble officiating.
