James Edgar Arrington, 94, passed away Saturday, October 1, 2022, at Abingdon Health and Rehab.

James was born March 28, 1928 in Cleveland, Virginia to the late Hadley and Cindy Arrington. James was a dirt track racecar driver in his early years and was a pilot most of his life. He spent his career as a Pontiac/GMC auto dealer for over 60 years, having owned locations in Grundy and Clintwood. He loved to fish and to play checkers.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Harold and Gerald Arrington; and two sisters, Jean Arrington and Thada Wright.

James is survived by two sons, Jimmy Arrington and Timmy Arrington; one daughter, Susie Arrington; one grandson, Maddix Mosley; many nieces and nephews also survive.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. at the Greenhills Memory Gardens in Cedar Bluff, Virginia with Pastor Bill Neeley officiating. Those wishing to attend the service are asked to arrive at the cemetery by 10:45 A.M.
