Imal Blankenship Eichler, born in Buchanan County, Va. On April 10, 1936 to Nancy (Sis) Coleman and King Solomon Blankenship.

Imal was a member of Bull Creek Old Regular Baptist Church in Harmon, Va. and enjoyed years of fellowship with her church family. She enjoyed traveling especially to the Pigeon Forge area and enjoyed various activities and being outdoors. She also worked many years at Cardinal Industries in Grundy.

Imal was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Donald D. Eichler, son Danny Skeens, daughter Earnestine Skeens, brothers Clinton and Lawrence Blankenship, sisters Ethel, Eula, Pauline, Opal and Ollie whom Imal cared for over 20 years, granddaughter Brittney Dishner, grandson Joseph Skeens and great grandchildren Jackson and Sallie-Jean Ellis, also several nieces and nephews.

Imal is survived by one brother, Ernest (Emil) Blankenship, sons Jerry (Pat) Skeens, Donald (Tina) Eichler, Timothy (Missy) Eichler, daughters Linda (Darrel) Ashby, Sally (Joey), Peggy (Cecil) Johnson, Edith Eichler- Fritts and Gerald Fritts, 16 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, 17 great- great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews including Randy Lockhart, whom she thought of as a son and a host of friends who loved her dearly.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at Frost Funeral Home with a  service to follow at 6:00 P.M. with Elders Roger Coleman and Jackie Yates officiating. A committal service will take place at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 16, 2026 at Mountain View Cemetery in Bristol, VA. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 1:45 P.M.
