Harry McKinley Ashley, 82, passed away peacefully at his home in Greenville, South Carolina, on August 15, 2026. He was born in Damascus, Virginia, on September 11, 1943, to the late Millard and Ruth Ashley.

Harry proudly served in the United States Army and retired after 30 years of dedicated service. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Greenville, South Carolina. He was also a member of the Loyal Order of Moose and Abingdon Masonic Lodge #48 AF & AM.

In addition to his parents, Harry was preceded in death by his daughter, Denise A. E. Ashley.

He is survived by his loving wife, Patti K. Ashley; daughter, Lisa C. Turner; son, Charles D. Ashley (Mandy); “adopted daughter”, Christie Station; brother, Donald G. Ashley (Liz); five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at Knollkreg Memorial Park in Abingdon, Virginia. Rev. Jerry A. Eggers and Pastor Daniel Lee will officiate. Full military honors will be rendered.

Harry will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
