Gregory Doak Handy, 64, of Abingdon, VA, formerly of Iaeger, WV., went to home to rest in the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, after a brief stay in the ICU at Johnson Memorial Hospital.

Greg was a coal miner by trade and an avid chicken fighter by heart. He loved working with his chickens, fishing, riding his Harley, and listening to country music. You also cannot forget his love for WVU football. "GO EERS!" Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his fiancé and grandchildren, especially Willow-Jayne Montgomery Tilley, and his dog, Maci.

Greg was preceded in death by his father, Jim Handy.

Left to carry on his love and memory are his mother, Pearl Burdette; loving fiancé, Theresa Rice; a host of special family and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 13, 2022 at Frost Funeral Home for those who are wishing to attend.
