Frederick Eugene McCroskey, 91, went to be the with Lord on Sunday, May 8, 2022, after battling a long illness at The Waters of Bristol.

He was born on October 1, 1930 in Washington County, VA. to the late Ralph and Lala McCroskey.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Jack McCroskey and one great-grandson, Owen Fields.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Patsy Owens McCroskey; five children and their spouses, Wayne McCroskey and Mollisia, Rhonda Gregory and Bill, Cindy Fleenor and Mark, David McCroskey and Eula, Missi Street and Rusty; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, James McCroskey and Rose, and Spurgeon McCroskey and Pat.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at Valley View Baptist Church Cemetery in Abingdon, VA. with Daniel Hoss officiating.
