Edward Michael Tracy, 84, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2026. He was born on July 6, 1942, to the late Edward J. and Gertrude R. Tracy.

Edward proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and later worked for the CIA, spending much of his career overseas. He had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and especially enjoyed hunting and fishing. He cherished his time spent in Montana and the memories he made there.

In addition to his parents, Edward was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Thomas “Tom” Burke.

He is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn Tracy; three bonus children, Callie Iddings, Caye Glaze (Jim), and Chris Iddings (Stacey); one brother, Richard Tracy; two sisters, Judy Doerzaph (Terry) and Patty Burke; five grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and sisters-in-law, Nettie Stevens (Marshall) and Phyllis Roberts (Ron).

Visitation will be held Sunday, August 30, 2026, from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at St. Matthews Lutheran Church. A graveside service will follow, with family and friends proceeding together to Laurel Valley Cemetery in Troutdale, Virginia.

Edward will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, and the many good memories shared with those closest to him. His memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
