Edgar Ray Umbarger, 75, of Abingdon, Virginia, passed away on Friday, March 28th, 2025.

He was born December 14, 1949, in Washington County, Virginia to the late Leland and Emma Umbarger.

Edgar had a deep love for wrestling and was a passionate Dale Earnhardt fan. He cherished spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren who were a constant source of joy in his life.

In addition to his parents, Edgar was preceded in death by his brother, Glen Allen Umbarger.

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Krista Umbarger; daughter, Chasity Puckett; two grandchildren, Dominick and Dylan Puckett; three sisters, Linda Rutledge, Connie Sue Umbarger, and Nancy White (Johnny); one brother, Ronnie Umbarger (Connie) Edgar is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins who will miss him dearly.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 1st, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at Solid Rock Baptist Church Cemetery in Abingdon, Virginia with Pastor Junior Gobble officiating.  Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery by 1:55 P.M.

Pallbearers include Roger Ball, Bobby Ball, Steven White, Rick Umbarger, Randall Rutledge, Danial Rutledge, and Jed Campbell.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Ronnie Umbarger, Wey McLeod, James Holloway, Johnny White, Zak Ball, and Josh Lindsey.
