Dolores Almany Garrett of Bristol, VA., born on November 30, 1943 in Detroit, MI to the late Glen and Virginia Meade Almany. passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 surrounded by her loving family at NHC of Bristol, to be reunited with her beloved husband of 59 years, Russell Garrett.

She worked at Sperry among other jobs prior to having her dream become a reality of being an all-present dedicated house wife and mother.

Along with parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her sister and lifelong best friend, Lilly Dutton.

A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she is survived by those she cherished, two sons, Michael Garrett, Daniel Garrett and wife, Jeannie; one daughter, Natasha Garrett; four grandchildren, Evan Helton and wife, Courtney, Emilie Rasnake and fiancé, Isaac Green, Kyndal Garrett, and Aubrey Garrett; nephew, James Niamo and wife, Bonnie; great nephew, Douglas Niamo; who shall carry and celebrate her love and memories.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at Mountain View Mausoleum in Bristol, VA. with a service beginning at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Daniel Garrett officiating.

She will be forever held tight and remain our strength housed within the hearts and souls touched by her love and embrace.
