Debra Sue Harvey, 65, of Abingdon, VA was called home by the angels suddenly on June 15 2023.

She was our "whiskey in a teacup"-a strong and dynamic force in a small delicate beautiful vessel. She was wonderfully caring, patient, loving, and selfless wife, mother, Granny, daughter, aunt and sister. Her energy, smile, and laughter brightened the lives of all who met her.

Born in Richlands Virginia, she graduated from Battlefield High School in Manassas, Virginia in 1976. She moved to Wytheville, Virginia in 1990 and soon after met and married the love of her life Gary Harvey in 1991. Together they owned and operated Equitable Assurance, servicing all surrounding counties until retirement in 2020.

She loved her family, traveling, gardening, flowers, estate sales and antiques. She was a magnificent mother who was always there when you needed her. Her spirit and laughter was contagious and her love and dedication to her family knew no bounds. To know Debbie was to know a radiant vibrant woman who made everyone's life better simply by being in her company.

She is preceded in death by her father, Raymond and brother, Michael.

Left behind to forever cherish her memory is her devoted husband of 32 years, Gary Harvey; her mother Eva Houchins; son Christopher and wife Liane; daughter Lauren and husband Johnny; son Damon, and daughter Heather; grandson Chase; brothers Danny and wife Brenda, Larry and wife Donna; sisters Judy and husband Gary, Elaine and husband Mitch, and Jeanie and husband Tim; several nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends on Friday, June 23, 2023, from 6:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Frost Funeral Home in Abingdon. A memorial service will follow at 7:00 P.M. in the Frost Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Dewey Lowe officiating.
