David Howard Everest, Jr., 77, passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2024.

He was born June 11, 1947, in Boardman, Ohio to the late David Howard Everest, Sr. and the late Shirley Ahn Crays.

David was a member for over 40 years of Duquesne Club in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and a member of the Virginian Golf Club. David served on the board of directors of the Barter Theatre.

David spent his entire career in the coal industry.

He was a lifelong member of Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

David was a proud veteran, having served as an officer in the U.S. Army in the 82nd Airborne.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Danielson.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Elaine Gregor Everest of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania but currently residing in Abingdon, Virginia. Son, Benjamin Parker Everest and fiancé Margaret Eden Bowen of Roswell, Georgia, who were cherished by David.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Sunday, September 1, 2024, in the Frost Funeral Home Chapel with Veronica and Buddy McGlothlin officiating.
