David Crockett "Davey" Otey, 42, went to be with the Lord Friday, January 3, 2025, at Bristol Regional Medical Center surrounded by those who loved him most.

He was born January 29, 1982, in Mountain City, Tennessee to Frederick "Freddy" Otey and the late Deborah Owens Otey.   David was employed for many years at Harbor House Seafood where he developed many enduring friendships.   He was a loving son, father, and companion who will be remembered for his heart of gold and helpful nature.

In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by his grandmother, Edith Owens and his best friend, Jimmy Hayes.

Survivors include his father and best friend, Freddy Otey; son, who he adored, Caydence McDonald; companion, Tracy Garrett; uncles, Kenneth Owens, Lou Owens, Danny (Brenda)Otey, and Carl Otey Danny (Debbie) Owens; aunts, Carolyn Henson, Ann (Gary) Shaw, Brenda (Hershal) Debord, and Kathy Otey.  Davey is also survived by several cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends Saturday, January 18, 2025, from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M at Frost Funeral Home.   A Celebration of Life will follow at 1:00 P.M. in Frost Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Stephen Richardson officiating.
