Curtis Ray Saul of Abingdon, Virginia, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2026, at the age of 79.

He was born on November 29, 1946, to C.H. and Alice Saul. He was drafted into the Army where he served 2 years, deployed to Vietnam and proudly earned the rank of PFC.

Known to most as Curt, he spent a lot of time on the lake at Lakeview Dock where he grew his love for fishing, he also enjoyed collecting guns and knives, and most of all spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his stepdaughter Terry Louise Hamby and his wife of 41 years, Wanda Jean Saul.

He is survived by his daughter, Shannon R Camron (James), stepchildren Howard W Morris (Fay), James D (JD) Morris (Edna), Tammy Morris Karamarinov (Miro) and his beloved sisters Linda Barlow and Diana Browning.

He is also survived by his loving dog 'Nugget', grandchildren Josh Johnson (Haley), Chelsea Johnson (John Morgan), Briana Fillers (Stephen), Max Morris (Ashton), Sabrina Morris, Justin Morris, Michael Tanner (Lettie) - and several great-grandchildren whom he loved dearly.

A visitation will be held on Monday, March 2, 2026, from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. at Frost Funeral Home in Abingdon, Virginia with a funeral service to follow at 6:00 P.M. Committal service will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. at Forest Hills Memory Gardens in Abingdon, Virginia. Those wishing to attend are asked to be there by 10:45 A.M.

Pallbearers will be Josh Johnson, John Morgan Walker, James Camron, Michael Tanner, Dakota Tanner, Max Morris, and Justin Morris.
