Cody Allen Mitchell, age 30, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, August 25, 2024.

Cody was born on October 7, 1993, to Ernest Mitchell, Jr and Jodie Hutton.

Cody was preceded in death by his daughter, Madelynn E. Mitchell; brother, Stephen S. Kopshina; and both grandfathers, Ernest Mitchell, Sr and James D. Hutton, Jr.

Those left to cherish Cody's memory are his wife, Lydia Mitchell; daughter, Kyleigh Mitchell; son, Liam Mitchell; father, Ernest Mitchell, Jr. (Abingdon, VA); mother, Jodie Hutton (Bluff City, TN); brothers, Jordan Sutherland (Bluff City, TN), Eric Sutherland (Meadowview, VA) and Blake Mitchell (Belfast, VA); paternal grandmother, Anna Mitchell; maternal grandmother, Mary Chapman; and step-grandmother, Phyliss Hutton.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 1, 2024 from 4:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Frost Funeral Home.  A memorial service will follow at 5:00 P.M.  in the Frost Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Jerry A. Eggers officiating.
