Glade Spring, Virginia

Mrs. Carolyn Miller Gentry, age 76, a well-known resident of Glade Spring, Virginia passed away at the home of her son on April 27, 2023.

She was born on September 27, 1946 the daughter of the late Glenn and Margaret Miller. Carolyn was a member of Old Glade Presbyterian Church where she kept the nursery for many years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Gentry, a very special friend, Bill Rector and a uncle, Johnny Worley and a grandson, Jake Arnold.

Carolyn is survived by three sons, Keith Gentry and wife Tina of Meadowview, Zac Gentry of Saltville, and Seth Gentry; two brothers-in-law, Dale Carter and Joe and Carol Gentry, two grandchildren, Kristin and husband Dustin Forrester and Shannon and husband Ricky Brown, great-grandchildren, Bryson, Lexi, Landon and Brayton and numerous other members of her family.

Graveside services will be conducted at 12 noon on Monday, May 1, 2023 at the Old Glade Spring Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Carolyn requested no visitation and the family will gather on Monday by 11:45 A.M. for the service.
