Abingdon, Virginia

Carol Ann Tome, of Abingdon, VA, formerly of Port Deposit, MD, passed away on January 23, 2024. She was 80.

She was born in Edgewood, MD, to the late William A. and Violet Wright Diffenderfer.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert (Pat) Bruce Tome, her parents, her brother William W. Diffenderfer, a daughter Cynthia Blakeley and a grandson, Franklin Blakeley, Jr.

She is survived by a daughter, Lori Mitchell and a son, Christopher Goncz, 3 stepsons Tom (Tina) Mulligan, Bobby (Rose) Tome, Tony (Kim) Tome and Timmy (Nichole) Tome, her sisters, Shirley Himes and Deborah (John) Rosenkrans, 8 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, step grandchildren, and step great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor at a later date in Havre de Grace, Maryland.
