Billy Jack Thomas, 77, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2026. He was born on November 14, 1948, to the late Paul and Bertie Thomas.

Jack enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved watching sports and westerns, and you could often find him enjoying a cold glass of Pepsi. But more than anything, Jack cherished his family, especially the time he spent with his grandchildren. Those moments were among his greatest joys, and the memories he created with them will be treasured forever.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Bertie Thomas; his sisters, Phyliss and Beulah “Boots”; his brother, Benjamin “Buzz” Thomas; his granddaughter, Willow RoseMae Lewis; and his special aunt, Margaret Camper “Nanny.”

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughter, Stacie Thomas McDaniel (Jerry) of Florence, KY; his son, Billy Thomas II (Jessica) of Newport, TN; his grandchildren, Bobby Hand “Buckshot,” Selena Hand “Boats,” Alexis Hand “Fleabag,” Shannon Thomas, Tricia Thomas, and Carly Thomas; and his great-grandson, Emmett Compton, whom he never had the opportunity to meet.

He is also survived by one very special little boy, Ryder Greer; one special young lady, Keira Combs; his special niece, Suzanne Harless; his sister, Selma Camper; his special friend, Howard “JR” Roark Jr, who was like a son to him, and Erin Lawson; his beloved dog, Buddy “Bubbles,” who was a special part of his life.

Jack will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His love for his family, his sense of humor, and the memories he shared with those closest to him will remain in their hearts forever.
