Beverly Ann Fritz Phillips, 86, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, September 13, 2024.
She was born June 8, 1938, in Washington County, Virginia to the late Leonard Burton and Mabel Olive Greer Fritz. Beverly adored her children, but above all, she loved her Lord and was a faithful member of Roberts Chapel Baptist Church in Denton Valley.
In addition to her parents, Beverly is preceded in death by her husband, Dallas Franklin Phillips, Jr.; daughter, Rita June Phillips; son-in-law, Gregory Coburn Reed; brothers, Raymond Fritz, Carl Fritz, Homer Fritz, James Fritz, Dean Fritz, Bobby Fritz, and baby Doral Fritz.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Connie Ann Reed; three dear sisters-in-law, Gail Fritz, who was more like a sister to Beverly, Nancy Fritz Caudill, and Rachel Baker. Beverly also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and beloved church family to cherish her memory.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 17, 2024, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Frost Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 18, at 2:00 P.M. at Roberts Chapel Baptist Church, 26697 Denton Valley Road, Abingdon, Virginia, 24211, with Pastor Rex Mallory and Pastor Jerry Fritz officiating. Interment will follow in Knollkreg Memorial Park.
Steve Phillips, Jeff Fritz, Buddy Fritz, Jimmy Fritz, Andrew Fritz, and Travis Fritz will serve as pallbearers.
Al Scott, Dr. Clinton Sutherland, and the men of Roberts Chapel Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Beverly's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Frost Funeral Home and Cremation Services is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Beverly Phillips.
