Betty Ruth Jackson, age 90, passed away on August 28, 2026. She was born on March 13, 1936, to the late William and Nancy Spiva.

Betty loved spending time with her family and watching her grandchildren. She had a love for music and dancing and enjoyed taking trips, especially to the beach. Betty also loved riding and sightseeing and enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially fishing and camping with her late husband, Roger.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Roger Jackson; one daughter, Brenda Carrol; two brothers, Douglas and Marion Spiva; one sister, Marie Malone; and one granddaughter-in-law, Shaina Berry.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Linda Jones (Raymond) and Mary Bailey (James); her sons, William Berry and David Berry; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; Junior Jones, who was like a son to Betty; and her sister-in-law, Brenda Spiva.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Frost Funeral Home in Abingdon, Virginia. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. at Frost Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Radford officiating. Interment will follow, going in procession to Bethel Presbyterian Church in Abingdon, Virginia.

Betty will be deeply missed by her loving family and all who knew and loved her.
