Betty Byars McConnell, age 93, passed away June 2, 2022 at her home.

She was the daughter of the late William "Bill" Byars and Clara Byars. She lived her entire life in Washington County, VA. She was a life long member of Green Spring Presbyterian Church.

Including her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin McConnell; her youngest child, Lynn McConnell; brother, Billy Bob Byars and wife Violet; nephews, Robert Byars and Kelly Byars; son in law, David Canter.

Betty is survived by two sons, Julian McConnell (Tammy), and Danny McConnell (Judy); three daughters, Suzanne Canter, Euna Smeltzer (Dale) and Sylvia Keller (Walter); sister, Patsy Buchanan (Bucky); several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; also, several nieces and nephews.

At Betty's wishes all services will be held privately.
