Obituary

Benjamin Franklin Quesenberry II, known as "Frankie," departed this life in the arms of Jesus on February 25, 2026, at his sister's home surrounded by family. He was 60 years old.

Frankie was born on April 26, 1965, a warm spring day, to Frank and Judy Quesenberry. They had been on a fishing date the evening before, when he entered the world at 4:22 a.m.

Frankie was a cherished father, husband, papaw, brother, uncle and friend. He had been saved, and baptized, and later rededicated his life to the Lord.

The first chapter of his life began when he married Lena Lucinda (Cindy) O'Quinn.  Together they endured the loss of two infants before Cindy, and the third infant were called to heaven.

Frankie later married Joann Parris and was blessed with two beautiful, red-headed children, Bentley and Bethany. Frankie frequently said, "those kids saved my life." He has two grandchildren, Andrew and Josie, whom he adored with all his heart.

Frankie was a lifelong resident of Meadowview, Virginia.  He enjoyed restoring vintage Camaros and was especially fond of his '68.  He planned to continue to restore these classics with his son Bentley in a big shop he wanted to build.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman, his bucket list included salmon fishing and moose hunting with his racing buddy, Paul.  Frankie loved the ocean and the peace it brought to him. He enjoyed hanging out with his ole pal JD, reminiscing about the good ol'days —when they raced cars and got in trouble with the local law. He would sit outside for hours with his four-legged buddies, Coy, Maverick and Cooper. He also planned to ride horses alongside Bethany.

Frankie was preceded in death by his first wife Lena Lucinda "Cindy" Quesenberry; three infant children: Matthew Scott, Benjamin Franklin III and a third unnamed precious angel; and his father Benjamin Franklin "Frank" Quesenberry and grandparents.

He is survived by his mother, Judy Slagle Quesenberry, son Bentley Quesenberry (Risten Russ) and daughter Bethany Baumgardner (Walker); grandchildren Andrew Quesenberry and Josie Baumgardner; sisters Teresa Quesenberry Vance (Chris) and Lisa Quesenberry (Brad Mawyer); brother Mark Quesenberry; nephew Josh Lowe; niece Tiffany Phillips; and many more beloved family and friends.

Frankie's humbleness and love for the simple things in life will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him. He will be missed beyond what words can capture.

A private graveside service for family and close friends will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, March 2, 2026, at Sunset Memorial Park, Damascus VA with Pastor Craig Barber officiating.

Pallbearers are Bentley Quesenberry, Josh Lowe, Walker Baumgardner, Brad Mawyer, Zach Dean, Branson Thomas, Owen Parks, Dennis Cobler. Honorary pallbearers are Mark Quesenberry, JD Johnson, Paul Russell and Steve Phillips.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Liver Foundation at UVA or to the animal shelter of your choice. The family thanks Dr. Benjamin White, UVA Hospital 6 th Floor Central and Hospice of Shenandoah.
