Barbara Ann Phillips Marsh, age 86, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 19, 2024. She had resided in Columbia, SC for the past three years. She had formerly lived in Abingdon, VA most of her life surrounded by family, friends and good neighbors. She was known for her kindness and sweet personality and was dearly loved by all. She was a member of Damascus Road Baptist church in Abingdon, VA. She loved and trusted in the Lord.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Ruth Phillips, brothers Ralph Phillips (JoAnn), and Alvin Phillips (Pat), sisters Juanita Fay Phillips Kaufman, and Betty Phillips McReynolds, husband, Hobert Lee Marsh, daughter Della Marsh, and sons Mike and Bill Marsh.

Those left to cherish her memory are a sister, Peggy Haney Newton, NC, and a brother Earl Phillips Richmond, KY. Also, four daughters Wanda Hollifield (Richard) Boiling Springs, NC, Rebecca Senior (Jim) Columbia, SC, Brenda Marsh Columbia SC, and Sheila Hester (Gordon) Hendersonville, NC. Five grandchildren, Robert Nunley Charleston, SC, Michael Nunley Columbia, SC, Chris Hester (Joie) Charlotte, NC, Phillip Hester Hendersonville, NC and Elizabeth Thibadeaux (Eliot) Lafayette, LA. Seven great grandchildren, Braxton Nunley, Aubrey Nunley, Seb Hester, Miles, Jack, Karlie, and Jacob Thibadeaux. Also, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service for Barbara will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at Frost Funeral Home in Abingdon, Virginia with Rev. Jerry A. Eggers officiating.
