Helen Dorothy Lambert

Abingdon, Va.

Helen Dorothy Lambert, age 92, of Abingdon Va., went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, February 15, 2021, at her residence.

Dorothy was born on February 23, 1928 in Buchannan County, Va. She was the daughter of Oliver and Cannie Keen.

Dorothy was a member of Temple Baptist Church. She loved her Lord, her family,

her church family and neighbors. She spent many hours working in her flowers and garden.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Lambert, one brother, Willie Keen, two sisters, Beatrice Hagerman, Nancy Wimmer, and son- in-law, Thurman Lockhart.

Survivors include daughter, Thelma Carol Lockhart of Abingdon Va.; two sisters, Viola Wimmer, of Jennings, Fl and Rosa Jones of Lafayette, LA; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Visitation will be from 12 to 1 p.m., on Friday, February 19, 2021, in the Frost Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m., in the chapel with Pastor Kevin Price and Pastor James Cockram officiating. Family and friends will then gather at Green Hills Memory Gardens Mausoleum in Claypool Hill, Va., at 3:30 p.m., Friday for a committal service.

The family wishes to express special thanks to Dr. William Baker and Caris Health Care.

Pallbearers will be, Randy Stinson, Caleb Stinson, Tony Jones, Rodney Howard, Lannie Osborne, Allen Fields and Kevin Sweet.

In accordance with COVID-19 regulations, all those attending services are asked to wear face coverings and follow social distancing guidelines.
