Brenda
Inez Pickle, 66, of Bristol, Va., went to be with the Lord, Sunday, January 20,
2019, at the home of her son in Spring Hill, Tenn.
She was
born February 21, 1952, in Smyth County, Va., to the late Harmon Pickle and
Marie Felty Pickle. In addition to her
parents she was also preceded in death by one brother, Roger Pickle.
Brenda
was a lifelong resident of Washington County, Va., and a graduate of Patrick
Henry High School. She had worked for
Farm Bureau Insurance, the Town of Abingdon and others throughout her
life. She was a member of Pilgrim
Baptist Church.
Survivors
include two sons, Doug Findley of Meadowview, Va., and Blaine Findley and wife,
Shannon of Spring Hill, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Grace Walden, Ethan Findley,
Tyler Carr and Ethan Carr; one great granddaughter, Melody Walden; three
brothers, Mark Pickle of Meadowview, Va., Kirby Pickle of Meadowview, Va. and
Timmy Pickle and wife, Freda of Richmond, Va.; one sister-in-law, Phyllis
Pickle of Atlanta, GA; several nieces and nephews.
At
Brenda’s request there will be no formal service. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8
p.m., Saturday, January 26, 2019, at Pilgrim Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Pilgrim Baptist Church, 16438 Pilgrim Lane, Abingdon, Va., 24211.
