Barbara Sue Hicks Testerman

Barbara Sue Hicks Testerman, 76, passed away Sunday, August 6, 2023, at Abingdon Health and Rehab.

She was born March 3, 1947, to the late Charles Samuel and Susie Rominger Hicks. She loved anything to do with the outdoors, especially flowers and animals. She was known for constantly being “on the go.”

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Testerman, four brothers and two sisters.

Barbara is survived by her son, Michael Testerman; one brother, John (Margaret) Hicks; four sisters, Glenda (Paul) Prater, Mary (Bill) Taylor, Debbie (Jack) Keesee, Laura (Don) Rutherford; one grandson, Michael Testerman, Jr.; Barbara is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at 1:00 P.M. at Holston Conference Cemetery in Emory, Virginia with Pastor Jay Overbay and Pastor Bradley Tilson officiating. Those attending the service are asked to arrive at the cemetery by 12:45 P.M. +
